Head of School for Wildwood School
Landis Green has served Wildwood School as Head since 2007, previously leading John Bapst Memorial High School, a public-private partnership school in Maine. Prior to his time in Maine, he spent ten years at Wilmington Friends School in Delaware. Mr. Green, with degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Kutztown University, began his career in education as an 8th-grade language arts teacher in southeastern Pennsylvania in a small, rural, public school district similar to the one he’d attended K-12. Mr. Green’s decades in public and independent schools have been marked by a consistent commitment to issues of equity and justice, educational innovation and school reform, and creating safe and affirming school communities. His Board service includes the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), Nueva School, and The Heads Network (previously The National Association of Principals of Schools for Girls, NAPSG).
