Alexa Mateen-Abdi was born and raised in Los Angeles. She began her education at The Mirman School and later graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Psychology. A founding member of the dating app Tinder, Alexa has since combined her entrepreneurial spirit with her creative eye as the designer and owner of Lala Léxa, a refined accessories brand.

Beyond her career, Alexa is deeply committed to philanthropy and serves on the board of the Westside Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is also a devoted mother to two children—a son and a daughter.

When she’s not working on her brand or community initiatives, Alexa enjoys volunteering at her children’s school, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family. Her love for design, both in fashion and in life, is woven into everything she does.
