David Lasman moved to California from Philadelphia in 1997 when high school basketball teammate Kobe Bryant asked him to work on his music video. Soon after, he started his career in TV as a production assistant and worked his way up to Co-Executive Producer. While sitting in editing bays listening to subpar compositions, he decided to stop giving music notes and created a music production house and licensing company called Signature Tracks with his 2 childhood friends who had produced records for major artists, including Jay Z. Understanding that music is an essential part of telling a compelling story, David and his partners have grown the company over

the years providing the score on over 20,000 series, becoming a 2x Ascap Award Winning artist, and selling 2 catalogs to both Downtown and Concord Music Group. Over the past 5 years, David has also enjoyed giving back, having mentored foster youth through Tiffany Haddish’s She Ready Foundation and students from underserved communities looking to get into entertainment through the GEI Program.
