Erica Lai is an experienced educator with a history of working in primary and secondary education. Erica started her teaching career as Middle School Science teacher & Chair at Ivy Bound Academy, a Math and Science charter school in Sherman Oaks. Then, continued on to teach Middle School Science as teacher & Chair at Sinai Akiba Academy, an independent school in Los Angeles. Her most recent position was at New Roads School, a K-12 independent school in Santa Monica, where she was Middle School Academic Dean. She is skilled in Curriculum Design, Educational Assessment, Educational Technology, Science, and STEAM. Erica is an education professional with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) focused in Secondary Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2012, she was awarded the City of Los Angeles’ “Teacher of the year” Award. She continues to have a passion for working with students, families, and education professionals, and hopes to continue serving her community.
