Yelena Cavanaugh is the Chief Legal Officer at Solana Foundation, where she oversees legal, regulatory and policy matters. In this role, Yelena leverages her extensive legal expertise in support of the development and growth of Solana as permissionless, digital infrastructure. With over a decade of experience in corporate law and litigation, Yelena previously practiced at Cooley LLP, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Kobre & Kim LLP. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gonzalo P. Curiel in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. She holds a J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the Board of the Solana Policy Institute.
