ALMA MEDINA

Attorney at Law, Law Office of Alma Medina

Alma was a member of the Alliance’s first graduating class and attended Windward School. After Windward she received her B.A. from Stanford University and J.D. from Stanford Law School.

 

Currently Alma is a pro bono attorney in Bonita, California. Her work with low-income and underserved communities focuses on self-help and empowerment of individuals to serve as their own advocates.  

 

Prior to her pro bono practice Alma served as an intern with the National Council of La Raza, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the Oregon Council for Hispanic Advancement, and as an Associate with Connerton, Ray and Simon in Washington, D.C. She also served two terms as alumni representative to Stanford University’s El Centro Chicano Guiding Concilio.

Alma is married to Colin Hampson and lives in Bonita, CA. The Independent School Alliance’s impact is evidenced in her four children who are students at Yale, Stanford, University of Washington and a prospective freshman at Stanford for Fall of 2017. As alumni representative on the Alliance Board Alma is committed to continuing the legacy of the Alliance by providing opportunities for other students of color to change the trajectory of their lives and their communities through education.
